Improved Energy-Efficient Access Control Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography

摘要
According to the increasing requirements, Wireless Sensor Network develops with a rapid speed and spreads widely in modern world. In the whole Wireless Sensor Network architecture, security system performs an important role. As a component, access control is worthy of well designing. Public key-based access control schemes (such as elliptic curve cryptography) are more attractive than symmetric-key based approaches due to high scalability, low memory requirement, easy key-addition/revocation for a new node, and no key pre-distribution requirement. Based on elliptic curve cryptography (EGG), Xuan has proposed a scheme named ENABLE. Though ENABLE scheme is an energy-efficient access control scheme, it still has its own drawbacks. We can employ the collusion attack against ENABLE scheme to obtain the session key between the user and the sensor node. To overcome these drawbacks, we propose an improved scheme. After analyzing the security and performance of our proposal, we find that our scheme enhances the security of ENABLE and the computation is only a little larger than ENABLE. Therefore, our scheme can be regarded as a new energy-efficient access control scheme.
