摘要
A brief description about recognition of discharge sources using ultra high frequency (UHF) partial discharge (PD) signatures was presented. It was demonstrated that the zero span (ZSPAN) UHF PD detection technique can select certain frequency slots where noise interference is very minimal or absent. Experimental investigations on small oil-paper insulation models and large transformer windings have demonstrated that ZSPAN UHF PD patterns give a good correlation with classical PD patterns for oil-paper insulation systems.
