摘要
To dispense with films, we integrated a conventional simulator in a digital radiotherapy image network. The acquired pictures from the image intensifier (II), live movies and still captures can be overlaid and compared with portal images, DRRs, scintigrams or reconstructed PET images. The images can be used as a working, basis to define beam apertures or blocks. As an innovative feature, we developed software that enables us to overlay the projection of CT demarcated volumes from the outline of transversal slices on the actual (online) X-ray image of the living patient on the simulator's couch. This method combines the advantages of both imaging modalities by means of a direct fusion (3D CT data + 2D simulator image data).
