Further additions to the lichen flora of Antarctica and South Georgia

摘要
Ten lichen species new to the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic South Georgia are described. Four are new to science: a species of Bellemerea containing porphyrilic acid from King George Island, a sorediate species of Leconoro with numerous xanthones and growing on introduced timber on Deception Island. a species of Schaereria growing at high altitudes in continental Antarctica, and a species of Lecanora (previously known as Lecanora sp. A) growing on Pseudephebe at high altitude on the Antarctic Peninsula. In addition there are three species of tomentose Peltigera resulting from a recent revision by O.Vitikainen, a species of Stereocaulon from Deception Island, a species of Tephromela from Cape Adare, and a species of Parmetia from Jenny and Lambda Islands, Antarctic Peninsula. A total of 471 lichenized fungal taxa have now been reported for Antarctica and South Georgia.
