摘要
In our work Mn/Ce composite oxides were showed to be promising catalysts for the catalytic wet oxidation of formaldehyde solutions. The catalysts were prepared by coprecipitation. Formaldehyde oxidation was performed at 200 C and 15 bar O-2 partial pressure. For a Mn to Ce molar ratio of 80:20 and for a 3 hour reaction time, a 99.4% conversion was achieved. Co/Ce, Ag/Ce composite oxides and a commercial CuO.ZnO (Sud-Chemie) were also used; however the conversions attained were substantially lower.
