摘要
Impedance characterization in a broad temperature range was conducted for the sol-gel derived tetragonal BaTiO3 ceramics sintered at 1300 A degrees C for 6 h in air. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to investigate the phase formation and microstructure of the sintered samples. XRD and Raman studies confirmed the tetragonal symmetry (P4mm) of the BaTiO3 ceramics. The A(1)(TO1) mode and E(TO), A(1)(TO2) modes were observed as characteristic Raman modes for the BaTiO3. The thermally etched surface of the BaTiO3 ceramics showed a heterogeneous grain growth. Impedance investigations showed a decrease in the total resistance of the BaTiO3 ceramics with increasing temperature, showing a typical ceramics behaviour. A non-homogeneous electronic microstructure was confirmed for the BaTiO3, where both the grain boundary and bulk contribution was observed.
