摘要
In the last decades, heterogeneous catalysis has emerged as a promising approach for sustainable synthesis. Among this, metal-based graphene oxide (GO) as catalysts is widely used due to their unique properties such as physical and thermal stability of the catalysts in successive reaction runs and reusability. Metal-supported GOs are quite prevalent and probably suitable acidic catalysts for both research laboratories and industrial processes. Herein, we have described the catalytic efficiency of various metal-supported GO catalysts in different organic transformations like oxidation, reduction, multicomponent reactions, alkylation, condensation, dehydration, dehydrogenation, and Suzuki, Heck, and Sonogashira reactions. This article has been divided into three subsections: (i) GO-supported metal as a catalyst, (ii) GO-supported bimetal as a catalyst, and (iii) GO-supported metal oxide as a catalyst for the easier understanding of the vast community of researchers. The foremost aim of this article is to summarize the uses of metal-supported GO in the preparation of diverse synthetic molecules. The recent advancements in GO metal composites as catalysts with their applications have been deliberated.
