摘要
The current progress being made on various broadband services and applications will inevitably result in the development of cost-effective and flexible networks. Wide-passband WDM (WWDM) is one of the most attractive system technologies for providing such services and increasing traffic in metropolitan area and access networks. This article describes the principle of WWDM technology and its systems, which we have developed and also cost-effective DWDM for long-distance transmission with optical amplifiers.
