Historical-critical pedagogy and women's representation in literature in primary education

摘要
This study makes an analysis, from historical dialectical materialism, of the collection of literature books available at a primary school which belongs to the municipal school system of a medium-sized city, aiming to identify which type of literary book circulates and how they contribute to the construction of the female figure by students of this school. If they contribute to an antifeminist and diminished view of women, attributing to the gender biological characteristics of fragility, weakness, and "sensitivity"; or if they contribute to a view in accordance with the Marxist feminism, namely emancipating women and free from stereotypes. It was concluded that the majority of the books analyzed reinforce the subordinate role reserved for women within a capitalist and patriarchal society, depicting the female figure according to stereotypes of fragility, sensitivity, weakness, and domestic habits, enclosing women into a normative pattern that directly favors the status quo preservation of this society.
