摘要
Triphenylcarbenium tetrafluoroborate was found to be an efficient catalyst for the highly regioselective reductive ring opening of 4,6-benzylidene acetals of hexopyranosides using DIBAL-H as the reducing agents to furnish the primary 6-OH alcohols in good to excellent yield.
