Measuring the Effect of an MPPT System Using the Incremental Conductance Method For Boosting the Output of a PV Array in an Industrial Site in Switzerland

摘要
This case study presents an investigation into integration of a PV System into an industrial building that has significant shading problems. For boosting the yield of the array [kWh/year], an MPPT system has been added to the array using INSUNPRO and TRNSYS software packages. A customized experimental method has been also developed for authenticating the achieved results, and a good validation was obtained. Using MPPT system improved the cumulative energy delivered [MWh/year] by 15.54% in TRNSYS simulation, while INSUNPRO predicts an enhancement of 13.31%, and experimental results show an improvement of 13.08%. Payback period of the project was also reduced by 3.1 years.
