Strong electron-electron correlation in the antiperovskite compound GaCNi3

摘要
We report the structural, magnetic, electrical transport, and specific heat properties of polycrystalline GaCNi3 sample. The T-2 temperature dependence of resistivity and the large values of the Kadowaki-woods ratio A/gamma(2) (7.2 mu Omega cm/K-2) and the Wilson ratio (9.2) suggest a highly correlated Fermi liquid behavior in GaCNi3. Such a large electron-electron correlation is due to the proximity of ferromagnetic order from the side of exchange-enhanced Pauli paramagnet, accompanied by remarkable enhancements in the electronic specific heat coefficient gamma and the temperature independent magnetic susceptibility chi(0).
