The Analysis of Traffic Congestion Characteristics in Beijing

With the development of economy, the traffic jam in Beijing is worsening. This article analyzes the relationship between traffic supply and demand in Beijing City, and proposes a relationship model between the number of vehicles and congestion based on the analysis of the causes of congestion. Then this article makes empirical analysis of the date which is gotten from the Internet and field study. Finally, In reaction to the phenomenon, the paper puts forward that the key to deal with traffic congestion is to control the number of cars.
