摘要
Laser cladding amorphous coating process is an important route to improve surface performances of crystalline substrate. In this study, Zr-Al-Ni-Cu amorphous composite coatings with some graphite additions were produced by laser cladding powders of alloying elements on a Ti substrate. The microstructures and phases formed in the coating were identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). XRD and TEM analyses reveal the existence of the amorphous structure. Some intermetallic compounds phases (Cu,Ni)(10)Zr-7 and Zr3Al2 phases were also founded in the coatings. Addition of graphite in the coating can refine the microstructure, improve the microhardness and lower the friction coefficient of the coating. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
