摘要
Studies of thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) of undoped and doped SrSO4 with activators such as Mn and Cu have been carried out. The polycrystalline sample of undoped, Mn and Cu doped SrSO4 are prepared by recrystallisation method. The formation of pure, Mn and Cu doped SrSO4 compounds are confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) studies. Comparison of TL intensity of the most intensive glow peak of Mn and Cu doped SrSO4 Compounds with that of undoped SrSO4 shows that addition of Mn and Cu impurity in SrSO4 compound enhances the TL intensity by about 12 and 3.3 times respectively. The trap parameters namely order of kinetics (b), activation energy (E), frequency factor (s) and Balarin parameter (gamma) associated with the most intensive glow peak i.e. the 235 degrees C glow peak of SrSO4:Mn phosphor were determined by using isothermal decay method and glow curve shape (Chen's) method. The kinetic parameters obtained by these two methods are in good agreement. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
