摘要
The anti-wear performance of adipic acid and polyethylene glycol-200 complex ester has been investigated as a friction modifier. Oil formulations of two kinds of motor oils have been prepared mineral oil M 10 D-2/E-1 (or SAE 30) and synthetic oil SAE 5W40 API SL/CF. The complex ester has been added in concentration of 0.5, 1 and 2%. The oils anti-wear performance has been tested on a 4-ball machine. The wear in the oils containing 2% complex ester is by 15-20% lower than the wear in oils without modifier. The complex ester effectiveness as a friction modifier increases with the oil category decrease.
