The influence of ligands on the bonding mode of thiocyanate group in copper(II) complexes with polyamines

摘要
A new series of compounds of general formula CuL(2)(NCS)X (where L = N,N'-dimethylethylenediamine (sym-Me(2)en), 1,3-diaminopropane (DAP) and N-aminopropylcyclohexylamine (ACHA) and X = CIO4-, NO3-, BF4-, SCN- has been prepared. Structural properties were characterized by spectral and magnetic measurements. The substitution of one NCS group in Cu(sym-Me(2)en)(2)(NCS)(2) and of one SCN group in Cu(DAP)(2)(SCN)(2) and Cu(ACHA)(2)(SCN)(2) for NO3-, ClO4- and BF4- anions leads to N-coordination of NCS group in these compounds.
