摘要
An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is a statistical data modeling tool inspired by the functionality and the structure of the biological nervous system. An ANN consists of processing elements known as neurons that are interconnected to each other and work in unison to answer a particular problem. Neural networks can be used in places where detecting trends and extracting patterns are too complex to be detected by either humans or other computer techniques as they have an extraordinary ability to extract meaning from imprecise or intricate problems. It is configured for many real world applications such as recognition of patterns and data mining through learning and training process. Today, ANN represents a major extension to computation. Different types of neural networks are designed and developed for various applications; however it still has to reach 100% accuracy. In this article we review the use of neural network for the accurate detection and classification of breast cancer.
