摘要
In this paper, we propose a connection-level call admission control scheme for the downlink multi-code code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system, which supports multiple classes of traffic with diverse QoS requirements. Several advantages are obtained in the proposed scheme: 1) the long-term transmission quality for different class of services are guaranteed by ensuring an upper bound on outage probability; 2) the statistical factors including Log-normal shadowing in propagation and voice activity factors are incorporated, and results indicate that they have significant impact on the connection-level performance; 3) priority support for handoff calls is provided using dynamic bandwidth reservation; 4) The handoff arrival rates are accurately estimated based on users' mobility, new call arrival rates, cell size and iterations on the new call blocking and handoff call dropping probabilities. Detailed performance analysis is provided and the numerical results demonstrate that the proposed scheme adapts well to a wide variety of system configurations.
