摘要:
A procedure for stochastically simulating an ensemble of near-fault strong ground motion time-histories for a specified set of earthquake and site characteristics (earthquake magnitude, location of the site relative to the fault, shear wave velocity, etc.) is presented. Use of simulated motions is of particular interest in performance-based earthquake engineering due to scarcity of recorded near-fault ground motions. The simulated motions can be used in addition to or in place of recorded motions.
