The objective of this paper is twofold: Firstly, it describes the situation of urban logistics in Casablanca. Secondly, it indicates the main solutions that can be applied in large cities of developing countries. Thanks to studies conducted by the Moroccan Logistics Development Agency; the Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics; and the pioneer of distribution in Morocco: Marjane Holding, as well as comparisons with other cities in European countries (Precisely: Bordeaux & La Rochelle), this article provides an accurate picture, based on examples and statistics, of an understudied sector. The results of the diagnosis of urban logistics, namely: regulations, consumer purchasing habits, the context of the urban territory and the expectations of professionals developed in this article, on the one hand, give an overview of the state of research in urban logistics, on the other hand, they draw up an assessment of urban logistics in Morocco and of their future orientations. The paper also highlights some future prospects for this sector, such as: the rise of e-commerce and sustainability.
