Intelligent vehicles use millimeter-wave radar as environment-aware sensors to achieve driver assistant functions. The electromagnetic immunity tolerance of the millimeter-wave radar system will affect the realization of driver assistant function and driving safety. Based on the study of the principle and target recognition theory of the millimeter-wave radar system, the millimeter-wave radar system is activated by target simulating method, and the electromagnetic immunity test of the millimeter-wave radar system is carried out under different field strengths. The experimental results show that the millimeter-wave radar system could be disturbed by the external electromagnetic signal under certain field strength, and serious malfunction occurs. Through the systematic research, technical support can be provided to the enterprise R&D test and technical skills and experiences are prepared for the formulation of the test specifications or standards.
