Breast cancer remains the most common cancer diagnosed in women in the United States and is second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer mortality. Breast cancer has become the prototypical solid tumor where targets have been identified within the tumor allowing for a personalized approach of systemic therapy. (C) 2014 Elsevier Inc.
