Density and viscosity of ternary liquid mixtures of pyridine with same polar and non-polar solvents at 303.15 K

摘要
Density and viscosity of ternary liquid mixtures of pyridine with some polar (acetone and methyl ethyl ketone) and non-polar (benzene, toluene and carbon tetrachloride) solvents have been measured as a function of the composition and at a constant temperature 303.15 K. Various excess thermodynamic functions, viz. excess viscosity (eta(E)), excess volume (V-E), excess Gibbs free energy of activation of flow (DeltaG(not equalE)) and the values of interaction parameter d in Grunberg and Nissan equation have been calculated as a function of composition of ternary mixtures. The results have been interpreted in terms of molecular interactions existing between the components of these mixtures.
