摘要
Seismic signal is a time series with the generalized Gaussian distribution (GGD). It is helpful to extract some useful information from seismic data for seismic interpretation in a new viewpoint if the properties of series have been known Thus, it is important to study the statistic properties of seismic series. We find that the properties of higher-order statistics of seismic series and its bispectrum are sensitive to the abnormal signal of seismic reflection or scatterance caused by inhomogeneous or special geological body. The position of inhomogeneous or special geological body could be obtained through detecting the variation of the properties and bispectrum of seismic signal. The numerical modeling and a practical case have proved that bi-spectrum can detect them reliably.
