Synthesis of Schiff base ligands derived from condensation of salicylaldehyde derivatives and synthetic diamine

摘要
Three Schiff base ligands have been prepared by condensation of 3-methyl, 4-methyl and 5-methyl salicylaldehyde with 4,4'-diaminoazobenzene (1), respectively. Diamine (1) from p-aminoacetanilide in the presence of glacial acetic acid, boric acid and sodium perboratetetrahydrate has been prepared. The products have been characterized by Fr-IR, H-1 NMR, and C-13 NMR spectra. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
