摘要
The health effects of unemployment are evidenced in several studies. There is a verifiable correlation between state of health, ability to work, the risk of becoming unemployed and placement potential. Against this backdrop the question was examined in a field study on what effect the resumption of an activity through a temporary employment agency has on the health of people previously unemployed. To this end a group of employees of a temporary employment agency in NRW underwent a medical examination and were questioned on three different dates. The results indicate an increase in certain physical complaints and health impairment; in the case of other parameters, e.g. health behaviour or quality of life, no systematic changes were detected. The data also document that workplace health promotion measures are necessary on the re-integration of the unemployed in addition to the appropriate job qualifications.
