摘要
When vertical walls locate on mounds, the wave may break on the top of mounds, and the breaking wave occurs. Compared with the standing waves, breaking wave has a strong impact pressure on the walls and the ratio of wave pressure peak value to wave height can be very high. So, the breaking wave has a tremendous destructive power to the vertical walls. Because of the complexity of wave breaking process, the mechanism of breaking wave is not very clear until now. In this study, a synchronous test on the breaking wave flow field and wave pressure is performed by using PIV system and high-precision pressure transducers. By contrasting the flow field structures and the wave pressure synchronously, the characteristics of breaking wave flow field in different mound conditions are studied, the mechanism of breaking wave impacting on the vertical walls is also investigated.
