An experimental study on the prediction of boiling heat transfer coefficient with working fluid Of CO2 was performed. The experiments were conducted at mass fluxes of 300 to 600kg/m(2)s and heat fluxes of 5 to 20kW/m(2) with CO2 flowing inside horizontal smooth minichannels with inner diameter of 1.5mm and 3.0mm and length of 2000mm and 3000mm, respectively. The comparison of heat transfer coefficient between of this study and the predicted one using the previous established correlations of Chen (1963a), Shah (1976) and Gungor-Winterton (1987) showed mean deviations of 30.49%, 32.72% and 53.45%, respectively. A new developed correlation of boiling heat transfer Of CO2 in heated horizontal smooth minichannels was developed in this study. The present correlation was developed by using 973 data points, being based on the Chen (1963a) correlation. The comparison between the heat transfer coefficient of this study and of the predicted one using the new developed correlation showed a mean deviation of 10.21% and an average deviation of -4.70%.
