Economic Study on Carp Breeding in the Context of Development of the Bio-Economy Projects within the Danubian Programs

摘要
There is an analysis of the fish capital in Romania, categorized on species, with an accent on the Romanian carp species (Cyprinus carpio) to analyze the involvement potential in projects in the Danubian programs. Aquaculture is based primarily on 15 species of fish, which represent approx. 85% of the international production, with an increased productivity through the genetic industry and with the protection of the species from the "red list". In our country there is a 600-year tradition in carp raising. Based on this experience, we can propose a strategy with measures based on science, efficient for the protection and conservation of the Romanian carp races which are of a European origin, in order to care for the people's food biosecurity. It is necessary to monitor the water quality, especially considering the chemical substances which are harmful to the environment, respectively the analysis of the bio-geo-chemical cycles in various natural and/or artificial ecosystems. There is an urgency for the development and implementation of a national strategy for preserving biodiversity of fish species and increasing fish production. The project will support the protection of wild fish species in danger in Romania.
