摘要
Increasing the cutting speed of milling directly increases productivity. Therefore, ultra high speed milling of steel is looked forward to as an application to the field of die & mold making industries. This paper presents experimental results of ultra high speed cutting characteristics of steel and cast iron using cBN, cermet and coated cemented carbide tools. Compared to the case of using conventional cutting methods, it was found that marked improvements can be attained in terms of tool life, machining accuracy, and productivity.
