Under vacuum Nd0.5Sr0.2Ca0.3MnO3 displays a reversible structural phase transition between the room temperature Pnma phase and a Imma-type high temperature phase. The transition is studied by in-situ electron diffraction and high resolution electron microscopy. These observations, coupled with thermal analysis, suggest that the exact oxygen content is one of the key parameters determining the structure.
