摘要：

The opportunities and feasability of utilizing a combination of physical and ecological principles for the study of earth sciences was discussed. The issues of sustainable development, climate change, biodiversity and lake eutrophication were addressed. The employment of global modeling studies for computations in ecosystem experiments was recommended.
