Ketamine anesthesia in children with acute burns and scalds

摘要：

The purpose of the study was to assess the value and the safety of ketamine as a single anesthetic in burned children in a war area. The material consists of 547 children admitted to the hospital in a 4-year period. The parameters studied were blood pressure, heart rate, pulseoxymetry pre- and postoperative blood gases. Clinical observations were performed during anesthesia and recovery. The children were questioned about bad dreams.
