摘要：

Foreign direct investments constitute one of the most important forms of international economic exchange. This study attempts to analyse the impact foreign direct investments exert on the development of Polish enterprises. The internationalisation of Polish enterprises caused by foreign direct investments will be examined. The results of that analysis will be presented in the paper. The study uses the statistical data of the National Bank of Poland. The conclusion drawn is that Polish enterprises are more and more willing to engage in investment projects abroad. The main direction of this international expansion are the "old" countries of the European Union (UE-15).
