This paper reports on the methods and results of sample preparation for C-14 AMS measurements at the PSI/ETH facility in Zurich. Standard preparation techniques are described, which include chemical sample pretreatment and preparation of graphite targets. We report the results of measurements performed by our laboratory for the Fourth International Radiocarbon Inter-Comparison (FIRI). (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
