A coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed circularly polarized (CP) antenna for bluetooth (2.4GHz) applications is presented in this paper. The antenna consists of a circular monopole and two semi-circular stubs are attached with ground plane. The antenna shows CP behavior at 2.4GHz with 250MHz axial ratio bandwidth (ARBW). The structure is simulated and studied for the S-parameters and AR values, those suggest its characteristics presented throughout this paper. Radiation patterns are also studied to confirm about the sense of rotation of the electric field which suggests its right handed circular polarization (RHCP) behavior. The antenna is fabricated on FR4 substrate and measured the corresponding values. The simulated and the measured results for the structure were found to be in good agreement with each other, consequently establishing the usability of the component for commercial production and applications.
