摘要
In this paper, a closed form type reduction method for piecewise linear interval type-2 fuzzy sets and root finding methods are applied in centroid type-reduction for piecewise linear general type-2 fuzzy sets. When the lower and upper bounds of FOUs of the general type-2 fuzzy sets are provided, the centroid computation methods in this paper is accurate and computational efficient, and is represented by a closed-form formula, which provide a way to perform theoretical analysis for the general type-2 fuzzy sets.
