摘要
Once a diagnosis of urinary tract infection is established, effective treatment is essential to resolve the disease quickly and to prevent serious long-term consequences. The authors review the causative pathogens of these infections, describe methods for treatment of infections of varying severity, and discuss other therapeutic considerations.
