摘要
Free Open-Access Meducation (FOAM) is a new option for emergency medicine education. Articles, blog posts, podcasts or videos can be used for further education regardless of time and location. There are other advantages of FOAM besides the ubiquitous availability: an attractive presentation and the possibility for users to discuss topics with the author, for example. But some aspects must be viewed critically. This includes, for example, a lack of continuity when compared to classical journals but also the absence of professional peer-review or quality checks. The main objective of this article is to look at the advantages and disadvantges of FOAM in more detail in order to help users benefit from this new knowledge resource and assess its quality.
