Interdiffusion of the Na+, K+, and Ba2+ cations in silicate melts

摘要
The concentration distributions of Na2O, K2O, BaO, and SiO2 in glass melts that allow one to simulate the multicomponent diffusion at various combinations of cationic fluxes differing in charge and diffusive mobility are studied by X-ray microanalysis. The basic models for description of the diffusion processes are considered. The diffusion coefficients are determined, and their temperature and concentration dependences are analysed. The mechanism of the interaction is discussed.
