摘要
Our research on gamma radiation damage in packed circle divide 1 '' x 1 '' crystals of LaBr3:5%Ce, LaCl3:10%Ce, and CeBr3 is presented. All the samples have been subjected to the same irradiation schedule, comprising gamma doses from 0.02 to 100 kGy from a Co-60 source. It is shown that in spite of some deterioration of scintillation yield and energy resolution these materials, particularly LaBr3:5%Ce and LaCl3:10%Ce, can he regarded as gamma radiation hard and used as spectrometers in future planetary missions.
