摘要
Processing of archaeomagnetic data over the last 6500 years by comparing residual values showed that main variations in the geomagnetic field have periods of 1200 years (two angular field components) and 1800 years (intensity). The similarity of superimposed I, D, and F variations of the same period is clearly seen in oscillations filtered within prescribed frequency limits. Peak-to-valley values of the I, D, and F oscillations tend to decrease with time. There is reason to believe that anomalous behavior of the geomagnetic field, namely, an abrupt short-term enhancement of oscillations in the 8th century BC, is related to the Etruria excursion.
