摘要
The effects of cell wall calcium on the growth of Chrysanthemum callus under sound stimulation were studied in the paper. It was found that the sound with certain ranges of wave could accelerate the growth of callus whether its culture medium included calcium ion or not. However, the effects of sound would be reduced when the cell wall calcium ion was degraded with EGTA. Meanwhile, the contents of cell wall calcium in the callus treated by Verapamil was close to that of the contrasted, but the former removed the effects of sound on the growth of callus. Contrasted with the non-stimulated group, the content of cell wall calcium decreased obviously in the stimulated group cultured in non-calcium medium. So the sound stimulation can accelerate the growth of callus in non-calcium culture, the necessary calcium of which might be supplied by the influx of cell wall calcium. The effects of cell wall calcium are complex, which not only can serve as the signal of influx of calcium ion from the calcium store outside the cell, but also can regulate the growth in the wall area.
