摘要
The flue gas emission from combustion systems such as coal or oil fuel boiler, incinerator or diesel engine contains particulate matters composed mainly of carbon. Since these particles are proved to have an impact of human respiratory systems, they must be removed from the flue gas and treated effectively. However, in general their low electrical conductivity prevents electrostatic precipitation from collection with high efficiencies because of the re-entrainment of the collected particles. In this work, dielectric surface charged in advance was used to collect diesel particles and subsequent dielectric barrier discharge was tested to incinerate them collected on the surface to create another electrostatic collection system more effective than conventional ones.
