摘要：
The theory of long water-waves in a rotating frame is considered in a general and systematic fashion, and the differential equations concerning the motion of tides are derived to compose well posed boundary value problems. Particular emphasis is given to the linearized equations of long waves which form the basis for the study of tides. Two applications are also given.
