摘要
The currents of geographic thought are manifestations of epistemological matrices that imprint, in the world, the way researchers observe them and, also, how they experience and carry out the science(s). Not unlike, research and practices in Environmental Education (EE) are based on categories of thought that guide the conduct of the process as a mark of social positioning. In this field, the present study aims to present the development of geographic science through its currents of thought that are epistemologically aligned with those of EE. To this end, a bibliographic survey was carried out on indexed articles, dissertations, theses and books from both areas. It was observed, therefore, that some currents of the so-called Contemporary Geography are aligned with others of the EE, characterizing possibilities for understanding the world based on the same field.
