Influence of the Er,Cr:YSGG laser and radial firing tips on the push-out bond strength of glass fiber posts

摘要
As the presence of smear layer created by the post-space preparation is known to compromise the post adhesion to the dentin, the aim of this study was to use Radial Firing Tips and the Er,Cr:YSGG laser prior post cementation and test the push-out bonding strengths compared to a conventional strategy. Forty human incisors were submitted to endodontic treatments and regular post-space preparation. In Group 1, the fiber post space was treated with sodium hypochlorite (5.25%). In Group 2, the fiber post space was treated with Er,Cr:YSGG laser. After post cementation 3 root slices (coronal, medium and apical) were obtained from each sample and subjected to push out tests. For both groups the mean push-out strength increased from coronal to apical. Although the bonding strength mean values were not significantly different from the Group 1, all laser-treated specimens have shown higher push out resistance in all root sections.
