摘要
Two novel methods for characterisation of Heart Rate Variability (HRV) series are presented in the paper. Multi-method Chaos Parameters Calculation (MCPC) concludes about the character of HRV series calculating parameters of a time-delay embedding and comparing to known results for stochastic and chaotic signals. The Delay Vector Variance (DVV) method separately, examines whether a time series is stochastic or deterministic and whether it is linear or nonlinear by calculating mean target variances, plotting DVV-plots and scatter diagrams and comparing to results for known linear surrogates.
