Spectral and spatial selection of XeCl laser radiation by an SBS mirror

摘要
An experimental investigation of the feasibility of phase conjugation of broad-band XeCl laser emission was performed. Spectral and spatial selection of the pump beam by an SBS medium was observed. This selection resulted in the formation of narrow-band highly directional XeCl laser radiation into a cavity with an SBS mirror. Amplitude-modulated output radiation with pulse duration of 120 ns, energy of 10 mJ, spectral linewidth of 0.3 cm(-1) and close to the diffraction limit divergence was obtained.
